Novelette Williams
Is a contemporary fiction writer and aspiring novelist who enjoys writing short stories and poetry. Her first published work is a short story called The Slow Walk Home, featured in Short Journeys Anthology. This is followed by a short story called The Ladder, featured in The Twelve days Anthology. She also has a short story called The Silent Wife published in Straight from The Heart Anthology. All published by Green Wizard Publishing. |
Novelette began writing by journaling her personal experiences, and writing poetry to express her passions. She is inspired to write fiction that can touch the boundaries of her real life experiences. Learning not to take herself seriously was her first big writing lesson. She advocates that every writer should take a metaphorical slap around the face and adjust their vision to the ever changing world.
Born in Birmingham in the 60's in a small town called Smethwick, where The Slow Walk Home is based. Novelette studied at the University of Central England and has worked in Further Education for over 20 years, teaching and developing training provision in the community. She now lives in Nottingham with her partner Gary and infamous furry friends Bert and Harry, with whom she shares a passion for Skiing and Classic Cars.
Novelette is currently working on her first novel, and overcoming her fear of social media to hopefully create new friends and not too many twitter robots. She is developing the art of memoir and personal essay in her blog Black Scribe.
